What is Mettle?
By definition it is a persons or peoples ability to cope well with difficulties or to face a demanding situation in a spirited and resilient way. It is to have the courage, spirit, valor and temperament to push through. To us this is what CrossFit and life are about. You will learn new things, grow and get stronger. You will have good days AND bad days but you WILL carry on. The workouts can be at times tough and greulling, there will be a voice in your head saying "STOOOP!!" but you will ignore it and push through. And this ladies and gentleman. boys and girls is what 'mettle' is, it is true grit, it is those with a big heart!!
I'm sorry to say it but muscle isolation is so 90's! Your body is 1 unit therefore fitness should be all about functionality! Mettle prides itself in making sure you will move the way you are supposed to but will not hold back in pushing you to places you may not have thought possible for yourself.
At Mettle Nation CrossFit you will have personal coaching every session, yes EVERY session. We don't want you to 'swipe in' and proceed to train aimlessly, without any specific goal, moving in possibly an unsafe manner. No, at Mettle our coaching staff will make sure everything you do has purpose and is, more importantly, SAFE!
Everything built is best done on a rock solid foundation. This principle applies to our approach with CrossFit. As a Mettlonian you core strength will take priority, a weak core means a weak foundation. From there you will gain proper strength that translates to your everyday life.
